Boyes 70th
Bill and Helen Boyes celebrated their 70th anniversary on June 4, 2006, with a reception hosted by their children in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They are members of the Coeur d'Alene Church.
Bill Boyes married Helen Madson on June 4, 1936, in Coeur d'Alene. For nearly 60 years the hands of Bill and Helen have literally helped shape much of our Adventist landscape. Beginning in 1947 Bill and Helen spent two years at Upper Columbia Academy where he taught woodworking and was responsible for completing the boys' dorm while Helen taught piano. Starting in 1960, Bill built many of the buildings at Camp MiVoden while Helen cooked for the camp for eight years. Later as conference builder they built 23 parsonages. Retiring, they joined Maranatha and Mission Church Builders. They worked in six states building schools, churches and day cares totaling 18 projects. The Coeur d'Alene Church is especially thankful for the many hours given to building the Couer d'Alene church and Lake City Junior Academy.
